One of them is the mighty Mahakam River which meanders of hundreds kilometers through one of the largest tropical rainforest in the world with twenty main Dayak sub-ethnics, once feared as headhunters settle on the river basin. Cruise the mighty river and encountering the rainforest will give you the opportunity to explore remote and unique world of the famous Dayak tribe on their harmonious life unite to the majestic nature of Borneo.

Tour Itenary :

Day 01  ARRIVAL IN BALIKPAPAN – LOA JANAN – MUARA MUNTAI
Meet at airport and directly transfer to Loa Janan for boarding the houseboat to start the exciting adventure of Mahakam River. Lunch, dinner and overnight on houseboat. (L,D)
Day 02  MUARA MUNTAI – MANCONG – TANJUNG ISUY – LEKAQ KIDAU
Arrive at Muara Muntai and sightseeing villagers daily activities from the long wooden bridge which is made of iron wood, and then proceed to Mancong by motorized canoe crossing the Jempang Lake of which we will have the opportunity to view many migratory water bird species and fishermen floating houses as well as the romantic Ohong River where proboscis monkeys, monitor lizards and other wild animals are hanging around at riverside. In Mancong, we will explore an exotic longhouse and Benuaq Dayak daily life. Next, we will visit Tanjung Isuy for watching hundred colorful dress dancers that welcome you with an impressive attraction in front of their longhouse. Afterwards, return to houseboat for cruising downward the Mahakam River. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on houseboat. (B,L,D)
Day 03  LEKAQ KIDAU TENGGARONG BALIKPAPAN
After breakfast, visiting the Kenyah Dayak village to meet remains long ears woman with tattoos on their skin. Next, return to houseboat for cruising downward the Mahakam River, a stop will be made at Tenggarong for exploring the King Collection on the Museum of Mulawarman and Royal Cemetery of Kutai Kartanegara kingdom. Afterwards, cruise downward to Loa Janan and directly transfer by private AC land transportation to Balikpapan for overnight on hotel. (B,L)
Day 04  DEPARTURE
Breakfast at hotel and free at your own leisure till the proper time for transferring to airport for your next destination. (B)
